The Clayton's Mission Adventures

 (Stores close at 5:00 and aren't open on Saturday...I'm never going to get a selfie stick.)  The Beach in Gisborne.  I've decided that I am not going to post any more pictures. My phone can't capture the majesty of this beautiful country. I take a picture as we are speeding along at 100 kilometers, or I make Elder Clayton turn around and stop, ( He is so patient with me. I love him to pieces)  and I take a picture of THEE most beautiful flower, countryside, waterfall, river, plant, ocean that I have EVER seen and then we turn the corner in 50 feet and see something even more grand! I really think that when Enoch and his land were taken up and Enoch was taken into the bosom of the Lord, his land was dropped into the Pacific Ocean and it was called NEW ZEALAND! This week, we needed to pick up a mostly wrecked car that sorta drove. (We have never driven so many cars with missing body parts in our life!) Lucky for us it had to be picked up in the farthest...

Saturday, we had a service project to help a sister move from our little Branch. We finished early enough to go to the Wharf and have fish and chips. It was lovely.  The tarter sauce was served in a shell. Clever. This is an apartment complex in the harbor. Tide was in. When it is out, there is no water here...It's insane how quickly it fills and drains.  Isn't this the best idea ever? This little guy was pedaling harder than his dad!                                                   So, lets talk about signs for a minute... First of all, what is the criteria to be consided an AGED PERSONS? And what are these "Aged Persons" going to be doing? Try to dart out in front of your car like deer? Serpentine their wheel chairs up and down the road?  Shuffle accross the road in their walkers? We drove up and down that street sever...

 Remember, Remember the 5th of November! Happy Guy Fawkes Day! Today we start bon fires, throw dummies in the fire, and shoot off fire works in rememberance of of Guy Fawkes who committed treason by trying to blow up Parliment in London in 1605. There has to be more to this story. I think the flowers are in competition to see who can be the prettiest and the brightest. Each time we see one it becomes my favorite fluorescent color until I see the next one. They take my breath away. Pictures just don't do them justice. You might have to enlarge this picture to really appreciate it. Ranchers pack so many cows in a small pasture that there is standing room only for the cows! I'm sure it's because the pasture is so lush and thick. The whole pasture was only this wide and filled with cattle.
